Commercial Design Is

Book based on reading and understanding the First Things First Manifesto 2000 and Michael Bierut’s Ten Footnotes.

24 page, typographic based book using only black and white, containing a 1000 word essay of my response to the First Things First Manifesto 2000 and Michael Bierut’s, Ten Footnotes.

I focused on the idea that commercial design can be just as meaningful as cultural design in regards to the thought process and intentions behind the design. Definitions within content respond to my title, ‘Commercial Design Is’ as words that I believe describe commercial design. 

All content executed in various weights of Helvetica. Laser printed on Avon white 70T Classic Linen Neenah, Blu Raspberry 70T and 65C French Pop-Tone. 2-Up Saddle Stitched.
