Alumni Featured on For Print Only |UnderConsideration
AIGA Toledo Summer show Popcorn Posters featured many BGSU and Toledo area designers, as well as a plethora regional and national submissions.
The challenge: interpret a favorite moment, theme, or cover from a favorite film.
The format: The time-honored movie poster.
The event was a smash, with artwork auctioned off and proceeds benefiting the regional non-profit chapter of AIGA. With such a bounty of exciting design work on hand, it’s no wonder that a print made it’s way to For Print Only, a division of UnderConsideration.
BGSUGD Alumni Tyler Deal’s screen printed poster based on the film BLOW found it’s way to the website and was featured due to this unique screening method and solid execution. Tyler, currently residing in Chicago having worked for Grip, Draft FCB, Thirst, and most recently as a designer at Organizing for Action, used a mixture of metallic silver, baking soda and PVA glue to make this unique piece. It should come as no surprise that Tyler also owns and operates his own silkscreen studio in Chicago, Idiotpull. Can’t wait to see more work from him in the future.
Great work Tyler, congratulations!
